What this course teaches
Corporate finance is where valuation, risk and financing meet real decisions. This course teaches the economic reasoning behind the models — and when their assumptions stop holding — across cost of capital, capital budgeting under uncertainty, capital structure, working capital, DCF and relative valuation, payout, M&A, LBOs and financial distress.
The lessons follow three fictional companies: Meridian Renewables (a project developer weighing a wind farm and an expansion option), Talbot Brands (a consumer goods company with a full valuation, financing and acquisition story) and Ferro Logistics (a distressed carrier). Every number is reproducible from the course data.
