Affiliate Disclosure. Honest about how we earn.
Some links on Aditya Gupta Official are affiliate links. If you click such a link and complete a qualifying action on the linked site, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly what that means, which programs we participate in, and how we keep editorial recommendations independent of commercial relationships.

What an Affiliate Link Is
An affiliate link is a hyperlink that contains a tracking identifier unique to the publisher who placed it. When a reader clicks the link and then takes a qualifying action on the destination site — typically a purchase, an account opening, or a subscription — the affiliate program credits the referring publisher with a small commission. The price the reader pays is unchanged. The commission is paid by the merchant out of its own marketing budget.
Affiliate marketing is one of the standard, regulator-recognised ways for educational publishers to keep content free for readers. It is also the most common revenue model used by reputable Indian and international finance-education sites that do not charge subscriptions. We have chosen it because, when handled honestly, it aligns our interest with the reader’s — we only earn when a recommendation actually proves useful enough for the reader to act on it.
Amazon Associates Program Disclosure
Aditya Gupta Official is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.in and other Amazon entities. This is the language required by the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement and we publish it verbatim here as well as on every page where Amazon affiliate links appear.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When we recommend a book on the Site — for example, a recommended-reading list on a Technical Analysis lesson or a list of accounting textbooks for an Indian commerce student — the link goes through our Amazon Associates tracking code (businessski02-21). If you click the link and complete a qualifying purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small advertising fee. The price you pay on Amazon is the same as if you had visited the site directly.
Programs We Participate In
The Site participates in the following affiliate and partner programs. Where the relevant page does not state otherwise, any link to a destination listed below is likely an affiliate link.
- Amazon Associates (amazon.in) — Books, financial calculators, and study aids that complement the educational content.
- Zerodha Open Account program — Referrals to open a demat and trading account with Zerodha, an Indian discount broker. Tracking parameter: c=WIH603.
- Groww referral program — Referrals to open an investing account with Groww. Referral code: v3cO/8bmeoip3.
- Other affiliate networks — From time to time we may join additional affiliate programs (for example, financial education platforms, book publishers, or accounting-software vendors). The full list will be kept up to date on this page.
If you would like us to add or remove a program from this list, or if you spot an affiliate link in our content that points to a program not listed here, please write to contact@adityaguptaofficial.com and we will reconcile the discrepancy promptly.
Editorial Independence
Affiliate revenue does not buy editorial coverage on the Site. Our policy is straightforward:
- We recommend a book, broker, or tool only if we believe it genuinely helps the intended reader. The decision to recommend is made on editorial merit first, and the affiliate link is added afterwards.
- We do not accept paid placement disguised as editorial content. Where a brand has paid for visibility — for example, a sponsored slot on a calculator page or a banner in a sidebar — the placement is labelled clearly.
- We do not change the tone, the conclusion, or the warnings in an article based on whether a brand mentioned in the piece happens to have an affiliate program.
- We will write negatively about a product that deserves negative coverage even if we have an affiliate relationship with that product’s vendor — and we will remove the affiliate link from the article in question.
- We will not run affiliate links to products we consider predatory, opaque, or unsuitable for the typical retail reader of this Site.
Our editorial workflow is described in more detail on the Editorial Policy page.
Compliance with Indian and International Guidelines
Our disclosure practices are designed to satisfy multiple regulatory frameworks, and each link we use is selected and disclosed with these frameworks in mind.
Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media. ASCI requires that any post promoting a product or service in exchange for monetary or non-monetary consideration must carry an explicit disclosure that is clear, upfront, and impossible to miss. We comply by including page-level disclosures, an in-content label where affiliate links appear, and this dedicated Affiliate Disclosure page that is reachable from every page in the footer.
United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) 16 CFR Part 255 — Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. Because our content may be read by users in the United States, we follow FTC-equivalent disclosure standards. Material connections between us and any third-party product or service are disclosed clearly and conspicuously.
Amazon Associates Operating Agreement. Every Amazon-linked page on the Site carries the verbatim Amazon disclosure language (“As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases”) in compliance with the Operating Agreement.
Google AdSense Program Policies. For pages that display Google AdSense advertising, we comply with the AdSense disclosure obligations, including a general statement that the Site displays third-party advertising and uses cookies for ad personalisation.
Google AdSense and Display Advertising
In addition to affiliate links, the Site displays third-party advertising served by Google AdSense and a small number of approved networks. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on a reader’s prior visits to this and other websites. Readers may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page (adssettings.google.com) or by using the YourAdChoices opt-out controls provided by the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Advertising revenue, like affiliate revenue, is non-disruptive of editorial content. We do not allow advertisers to dictate which articles get written, the conclusions those articles reach, or the warnings those articles carry. Where we accept a sponsored placement that goes beyond a standard display unit — for example, a sponsored review of a tool or a placement inside a calculator page — the relationship is labelled in a way the reader cannot miss.
No Hidden Costs to the Reader
Affiliate commissions are paid by the merchant out of its own marketing budget. The price the reader pays on the destination site is the same as it would have been if the reader had arrived through any other channel. Use of an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay, does not reduce the discounts or coupons available to you, and does not affect your eligibility for any promotion the merchant is running.
If you would prefer not to use an affiliate link, you are free to navigate to the destination site directly by typing the URL into your browser. Doing so will not change your purchase experience but will mean that no commission is earned in respect of your purchase. Reader choice is the entire point of disclosure.
Transparency About Conversion Tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate program may set a cookie on your browser that allows the program to attribute a subsequent qualifying action back to our referral. The cookie typically expires after a defined period (commonly 24 hours for Amazon Associates, longer for broker referrals). The cookie does not give us access to your account details, financial information, or any personally identifiable data about your activity on the merchant site beyond confirmation that a referral led to a conversion.
We do not see your credit-card information, account credentials, transaction amounts (beyond aggregated commission reports from the affiliate program), or any other sensitive information about your interaction with the merchant. The merchant’s privacy policy governs all data captured by the merchant in connection with your visit.
How to Identify an Affiliate Link
You can identify an affiliate link in several ways. Most affiliate URLs carry a visible tracking parameter — for example, the tag= parameter on amazon.in URLs, the c= parameter on Zerodha referral URLs, or a clearly identifiable referral path on a partner site. We also add an in-content disclosure label (“Affiliate link”) next to material affiliate placements, and we include a page-level note at the top or bottom of any post whose content was significantly influenced by an affiliate context (for example, a “best brokers” comparison).
If you would like us to clarify whether a specific link is an affiliate link, please write to contact@adityaguptaofficial.com with the page URL and the specific link in question. We will confirm by reply.
Refunds, Returns, and Disputes
All purchase decisions you make on a destination site are governed by that site’s own terms, refund policy, return policy, and customer-service practices. If you experience a problem with a product or service you purchased through an affiliate link, please contact the merchant directly. We do not have the ability to authorise refunds, process returns, or intervene in disputes with merchants on your behalf.
We will, however, take feedback about a poor merchant experience seriously. If a partner consistently fails its customers, we will remove the affiliate relationship from our recommended-list. Please share your feedback through the Contact page.
Future Programs and Changes
We may add or remove affiliate programs over time. New additions will be reflected on this page within a reasonable period of joining the program. If we ever discontinue a program, we will progressively remove the corresponding affiliate links from existing content as part of routine editorial review.
We will not enter into affiliate relationships with vendors of products that we consider unsuitable for our reader base. The categories we have excluded as a matter of policy include unregulated investment schemes, contests of pure chance presented as investments, products that involve unsupervised credit on consumer terms we consider predatory, and any product the law currently prohibits us from promoting to Indian readers.
Updates to This Disclosure
We may revise this Affiliate Disclosure from time to time to add newly joined programs, reflect changes in regulatory guidance, or clarify language. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted with a prominent notice on the Site for a reasonable period.
